Breathing Retraining for Breathing Pattern Problems
During this consultation with Victoria she will establish what your problems and goals are and whether breathing retraining is likely to be effective for you. Victoria will advise you how many treatment sessions she thinks you will need.
Treatment sessions are either face-to-face in our clinic near West Malling or virtually via Zoom or FaceTime.
Breathing Retraining Basics
Initial 1 hour assessment and treatment followed by three 30-minute treatment sessions.
In this, we will address the potential causes of your breathing pattern problem
Retrain you to normal breathing route, rate, rhythm and volume and look at your breathing in lying, sitting, standing, talking and moving.

Breathing Retraining Plus
Initial 1 hour assessment and treatment followed by five 30-minute treatment sessions

The plus package will cover all of the basics but can also go further for people with lung disease, long-covid or those who are high-level athletes who need to manage their breathing patterns in the extremes of breathlessness. Where appropriate, this package will include inspiratory muscle training.
